The Robert H. Lurie Medical Research Center is a state-of-the-art biomedical research facility located in the heart of Northwestern University's Chicago campus. It was established in honor of philanthropist, Robert H. Lurie, who donated $110 million towards its construction.
The center is comprised of 12 floors of research laboratories, core facilities, conference rooms, and administrative offices. It houses over 150 research groups, including faculty, postdoctoral fellows, and graduate students, who conduct research in areas ranging from cancer and cardiovascular disease to neuroscience and stem cell biology.
The center is equipped with cutting-edge technologies and equipment such as high-throughput screening, advanced imaging, and bioinformatics systems, which enable researchers to conduct innovative research that addresses some of the most pressing health issues facing our world today.
In addition to conducting groundbreaking research, the center also offers training and professional development opportunities for scientists at all stages of their careers. It also promotes collaboration and interdisciplinary research initiatives and partners with leading academic and industry organizations to accelerate innovation in health and medicine.
